Cairn.info was born from the desire of four publishers distributing humanities and social science journals to join forces and improve their digital reach.

Cairn.info has been a cooperative project from the outset, rallying various actors in the publishing sector around a common objective—to facilitate the online dissemination of informative and thought-provoking Francophone publications.
